Common Questions
Is peer support the same as therapy?
No. Peer specialists do not provide therapy. They offer lived experience, encouragement and practical support alongside your clinical care.
Who are the peer specialists?
Trained professionals with their own experience of recovery, certified as peer specialists in Texas.
Is it confidential?
Yes. Peer specialists follow the same privacy rules as everyone else on our team.
How often will we meet?
Usually weekly, or as set out in your plan.
Can I have peer support without being in IOP?
Yes. It can also be part of outpatient care. We will help you choose what fits.
Is peer support covered by insurance?
Coverage varies by plan. We check your benefits and explain any costs before you start.
